April 2024
Spring brought vibrant colors and a revitalizing atmosphere to Tiger Cub Immersion School in April. In Chinese classes, students explored the wonders of the season through reading, singing, and hands-on activities. Math lessons focused on reinforcing number skills and spatial understanding, while English classes integrated Spring themes through stories and creative projects. The month culminated in the annual Art Gallery event, showcasing our students' growth and creativity.

March 2024
March was a busy month full of learning and fun. We explored various topics, such as buildings, water conservation, the weather, and of course, the joys of the spring season. In Math classes, we learned about number decomposition as well as the concept of "zero." Additionally, towards the end of the month, we leanred about Easter and hosted an on-site egg hunt for the students on our playground.

February 2024
February at Tiger Cub Immersion School was filled with festivities, featuring important cultural events from Chinese New Year and the Lantern Festival to Valentine's Day and Black History Month. Students learned about the traditions and the significance of these celebrations through a variety of fun and engaging activities. Additionally, owing to the active participation of our wonderful parents, we were able to host a memorable celebration on the eve of Chinese New Year.

January 2024
In January, we explored the idea of "New Year and Growth," as well as learned about the traditional holidays of Laba Festival and Lichun. We also reviewed reviewed comparisons of objects and introduced new concepts like "heavy" vs. "light," and "thick" vs. "thin." Our afternoon English classes centered on the theme of "Winter," engaging students in activities such as a collaborative art project to express our appreciation of winter’s beauty, and conducting scientific experiments on the melting speed of ice in different conditions.

December 2023
December at TCIS was filled with festive joy. In Chinese classes, we explored the theme of “Winter” as well as the significance of the winter solstice in Chinese culture, while in our afternoon English classes we embraced the holiday theme with building gingerbread house, making Christmas-scented playdough, and writing letters to Santa. The month concluded with a spectacular Winter Holiday party, featuring crafting activities for the whole family and a surprise visit from Santa Claus.

November 2023
In November, we embraced the fall season and Thanksgiving, engaging students in a diverse range of activities. From crafting leaf print artworks and exploring the fall harvest to delving into Thanksgiving traditions and learning to expressing gratitude, the month was filled with enriching experiences. The highlight was a heartwarming Thanksgiving potluck, showcasing the strong sense of community among our parents and creating cherished memories for all.

October 2023
October was a month filled with learning and excitement. We focused our studies on the topic of fall and clothing. Additionally, we learned about the Double Ninth Festival and explored it various traditions. Finally, we had an amazing Halloween celebration at the end of the month, complete with a costume parade and a trick-or-treating session on our playground.

September 2023
This September, our students had an exciting and eventful month filled with learning new things, making new friends, and having lots of fun. Our focus this month was on ourselves and about what it means to go to school. Additionally, we celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival by reading stories and making rabbit lanterns and snow-skin mooncakes. We also had lots of fun during our Friday soccer lessons with Coach Aiden.
